Union County Courthouse Tower And Rotunda

The Union County Courthouse complex, located on Broad Street in Elizabeth NJ, is on a constrained site and the hub of a busy, high visibility plaza. The 1905 classical revival Courthouse and Rotunda is listed on the National and State Historic Registers. Netta Architects performed a historic restoration which was triggered by a code study documenting fire and life safety concerns in the office tower.

Netta Architects strengthened the integrity of the tower façade: flashing, pointing, and masonry repairs; and performed limestone cleaning and repair. All work was completed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior standards and will receive New Jersey State Historical Preservation office approval.
