Union County Oriscello Jail Facility

Netta Architects provided design services for the complete interior renovation of the aging County Jail. Due to the facility being nearly 90% occupied, Netta Architects was required to perform the project in three phases. The first phase entailed exterior improvements and building envelope enhancements. This included the hardening of exterior security elements and the installation of security glazing on existing and new windows.

The second phase entailed the complete renovation of the inmate pod areas, including new epoxy flooring and a complete renovation of the inmate showers. The third, and most critical phase, consisted of the design of a new entrance lobby, correction officer lockers, elevator renovations, and a new central command center, which included a virtual remote computer visitation system and an entirely new security camera system. All renovation activities and new system design were performed in general accordance with the American Correctional Association standards.
