Project Manager
Project Manager
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and technically proficient Project Manager with demonstrated capabilities in building design and production. The prospective candidate will have an interest in working in a dynamic and collaborative design environment with a diverse range of public and developer building types; including:
- Governmental Buildings (courthouses, athletic, public safety, institutional and emergency service facilities)
- Multi-Family Housing (market rate and affordable)
- K-12 + Higher Education Academic and Administration Buildings
- Mixed-use Commercial/Residential Buildings
- Historic Renovation Projects
- New and Renovated Interiors
Responsibilities include direct communication with the client, facilitation of communication across the project team, preparation of final code reviews, managing the design and project documentation process to established schedule and budget objectives. The PM candidate must possess a high level of communication and leadership skills and be able to manage a diverse team of professionals.
Applicants must possess exceptional design and technical abilities with a minimum of 6-10 years of professional experience; architectural registration and New Jersey License is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent the firm in a professional manner maintaining client confidence and respect.
- Ensure successful results for the firm and our clients through project management techniques.
- Coordination of contracts, billings and collections, including written authorization for additional service items.
- Program project data and documents.
- Lead person for design team coordinating all staff to meeting goals, objectives and schedule.
- Establish and monitor budgets to ensure project profitability.
- Manage and review the performance of design team.
- Interface and manage relationships with design consultants, owner representatives, public officials and review officials.
- Focus on client relations and business development, by maintaining excellent client relationships and by actively expanding connections.
- Participate in interviews and other business development activities, including the preparation of proposals.
- Assists with quality assurance reviews of the project documents.
- Supervises and trains other staff regarding design related document standards.
Specific Skills:
- Inventive, creative thinking, collaborative, strong background in architectural production, spatial and environmental design ability, story creation, and quality design sensibility is a requisite.
- Able to effectively convey information and ideas.
- Ability to generate and deliver effective presentations.
- Experience with in AutoCAD® and Revit® is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office® Suite is required.
- Strong sketching and freehand drawings skills is required; the ability to create quick sketches to convey/sell an idea is critical.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Strong communication skills and a team oriented approach towards client, co-workers and consultants.

Project Architect
Project Architect / Job Captain
As a key member of the project team, the Job Captain | Project Architect supports senior staff to ensure that the team produces deliverables which meet the project’s requirements. The prospective candidate should demonstrate experience in generating and coordinating construction documentation for new and renovation building projects within the public realm including:
- Governmental Buildings (courthouses, athletic, public safety, institutional and emergency service facilities)
- Multi-Family Housing (market rate and affordable)
- K-12 + Higher Education Academic and Administration Buildings
The ideal candidate will also have experience working with private developers on mixed-use commercial/residential and industrial projects. This position requires an active role in the conceptual design through construction administration phases of project development and documentation.
Responsibilities include direct communication with project management, facilitation of communication across the project team, preparation of preliminary code reviews, overseeing and participation in the creation of project documentation. The JC|PA candidate should be able to self-direct their work, manage the work of supporting staff and coordinate consultant efforts. Additionally, the applicant should possess strong communication and leadership skill sets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production of drawings in AutoCAD® and Revit® platforms
- Provide design and technical documentation support to the Project Manager
- Involvement in all phases of project development including design and production
- Oversee or participate in code analysis, existing building surveys and feasibility studies
- Provide input into the design and construction schedule
- Organize and direct the architectural and consultant teams to execute the work in an orderly, timely, and professional manner
- Production of construction detail documentation that conforms to QA/QC and best practice standards
- Generate presentation renderings, production of graphics and reports
- Develop space plans and schedules
- Facilitate communication with consultants, and internal team
- Recognize and document conflicts as they arise and offer alternatives to resolve issues
- Resolve design and technical issues to maintain progress and quality control; RFI’s, submittals, etc.
- Manage/mentor junior level staff on assigned tasks
- Research materials and products and meet with vendors
- Represent the firm in a professional manner and with the highest level of integrity
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform this Role:
- Fluent in Revit® production and proficient with Revit® rendering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD®, Sketchup®, Adobe Creative Suite®, Microsoft Office® Suite
- Professional degree in Architecture required.
- Architectural Licensure or on track for licensure in next 12 months is a plus
- Minimum of five years of working or relevant experience required
- LEED® certification is a plus
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and the permit procurement process
- Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and systems
- Knowledge of architectural graphics standards
- Production of high-quality work that is complete and accurate with great attention to detail
- Must be responsible and dependable, willing to take on assignments and be accountable for results
- Requires strong interpersonal skills, communicates effectively, and works well with others
- Maintains a high level of productivity, self-direction, and agility in responding to changes in priorities in a dynamic creative environment

The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience with Housing, K-12 Education and Commercial / Governmental building documentation. This position requires an active role in the conceptual through construction administration phases of project development and documentation. Responsibilities include direct communication with the client, facilitation of communication across the project team, preparation of preliminary code reviews, overseeing and participation in the creation of project documentation. The PA | JC candidate should be able to self-direct their work, manage the work of supporting staff, possess a high level of communication and leadership skills and be able to manage a diverse team of professionals.

- Provide design and technical documentation support to the Principal and Project Manager
- Involvement in all phases of project development including design, and production

Graphic Designer
Graphic Designer
Job Summary
Netta Architects is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our proposal team located in Mountainside, NJ. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with proposal teams in a fast-paced environment to create and revise proposals and communications graphics.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have at least 1-5 years of experience working as a graphic artist and/or desktop publisher. Must be highly proficient in the use of graphics related software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and other publishing software. (PC)
- Proficiency in InDesign is Required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to conceptualize graphics based on verbal and written directions.
- High-Level Graphic Creativity
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
- Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or a Related Field.
