Mark Bess graduated from the Pratt Institute School of Architecture with Honors in 1988, and has been an accomplished architect ever since. Over the course of his career, he has developed a specialized understanding of the development of construction documentation.

His past experience includes holding positions like Chief Architect and Project Manager on numerous projects and various building types that include corporate headquarters, significant historic restoration projects, educational buildings, housing, commercial facilities, and government buildings. In addition to functioning as a lead project manager at Netta, he also directs the firm’s specification department and assists with marketing efforts.

Mark Bess is also a faculty member of the College of Architecture and Design at NJIT where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in addition to serving on various COAD committees. Mark is a member of many organizations, including: The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, the American Institute of Architects, and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Additionally, he is a founding member of the NJ Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects and is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute with a Contract Document Certification.
